A map-type question

I asked a question previously about creating regions on a map and Jonathan referred me to a useful website that works by drawing on Google maps.  I since realized that in the curriculum I’m working with, I’m likely to be dealing with a hand-drawn map, not a Google map – so my question is really about creating regions on an image, rather than on a Google map.  I have a feeling that this is not an area CODAP has worked on, but before I decide that for sure, I figured I’d ask…

The ability to hand-draw regions on a CODAP map would be a nice feature indeed, but, alas, is not supported.
