In teaching our 11-12 graders about confidence intervals, we usually created 90% Box Plots experimentally (using coins & Fathom/CODAP) and theoretically for a given true population proportion. Then I had been using a confidence interval stairway generated from various theoretical true p‘s to help them work backwards to interpret a sample proportion.
Any chance someone has made a CODAP file to replace the Fathom file we used to do this? This was the Fathom file we used. And here is a video of me using a paper CI stairway, and then the Fathom stairway, so you can see what I mean. (Please excuse any errors – this is from one of my first times teaching it!)
Thank you!
Laura
