Examples of using “display only selected cases” on a graph?

I’m curious to know how people use “display only selected cases” for graphs in CODAP, and why you might use this instead of “hide unselected cases.” Does anyone have any examples they could share in replies below? I did make the GIF below thinking of a possibility, but I am sure there are others out there. Thanks!
