Has anyone used CODAP with small group assignments?  Any ideas to share about how this works?

Hello,

If you are asking about using CODAP in a team mode where each student in a group sees the same CODAP document on their computer and sees modifications other students are making in real time (as in Google Docs), then CODAP has no facility for this mode.

But, of course, educators have worked out many workarounds for facilitating such small group work and I’m interested in what people have come up with for CODAP.

Two things worth keeping in mind:

1. CODAP allows you to create a shared link to a document such that each user accessing the link gets their own separate copy of the original document. Students can also create a shared link to their work and pass this link back to the teacher and/or to each other. Students working in a group on a document might post their links in a Google Doc so they can track each others’ work. Note that users will need to “update” the shared link when they made changes so that others will see their most recent work.
2. CODAP integrates pretty well with Google Classroom and I believe teachers are having good experiences with this.
