Simulate with CODAP

Hi Bill and all,

I am on my way to the Czech Republic to discuss using CODAP with some folks in Brno. From ProCivicStat I feel comfortable using CODAP in Exploring multivariate data. But my host also wants to learn about simulation.

I know (more or less) how to handle the sampler, and found out that you can create uniform and normal random numbers. But all of this falls short of how I use simulation with FATHOM. The function library in CODAP is not quite yet that of FATHOM (no command like uniquevalues, or sampling until a condition is fulfilled). Maybe, there is a way to do that, but I don’t know.

Or, asking on a broader level: do you have any document explaining how to simulate with CODAP??

Hi Joachim,

It sounds like you’ve already figured out the (few) ways there are to do statistical simulation in CODAP, which remains far behind the capabilities built into Fathom.
