Many of you may know that I make CODAP plugins, and you can find them at https://codap.xyz.

One of them (just improved) is a “scrambler” that will let you perform randomization tests. You can drop the scrambler into any document and apply it to your data. To make it work, you must create a measure and drag it to the left! That is, you can’t make a sampling distribution without specifying what you want the distribution of. A typical measure is a difference of means.

Here is a sample document with the scrambler installed. 13-year-old boys appear to be taller than 13-year-old girls. Is it plausible that the mean difference we see could be by chance? Not really.

Here is some documentation about the scrambler (also accessible from the scrambler by pressing the info button)

To install the scrambler, you can drag the URL from the page you will see at codap.xyz and drop it into your document.

Or you can simply paste its URL into CODAP using the “hamburger” menu under Import > URL. That URL is: https://codap.xyz/plugins/scrambler/.
